Pound-for-pound, bluefish are considered one of the strongest fighting inshore fish the Jersey shore offers. When the BITE’S ON, first-time anglers and experienced fly-fisherman can enjoy non-stop action. A sore arm is almost guaranteed after a day of wrestling with these powerful fish. From April through December our local waters provide some of the best opportunities to experience NJ’s most forceful game fish. Bluefish feed aggressively both day and night.
