Unfortunately mother nature did not want to cooperate today, with our charter wanting to fish we decided to head out and drift the river. We tried an assortment of bucktails and traditional fluke rigs. Both Squid and Spearing/Killie combo was the ticket items and traditional rigs proved best. Despite tough drift conditions, we managed 31 fish during the four hour trip. It ended up being a great day out on the river with plenty of smiles to go around. We will be back out again tomorrow searching for the illusive Manasquan River Halibut.
