The Fintastic is one of a few fishing charters on the Jersey Shore that is annually inspected and certified by the US Coast Guard for safety. The certification may seem insignificant to those outside of the industry, but it is a very important document which relates directly to your safety and peace of mind.

Many charter boats look similar on the outside with shiny hulls and fancy electronics. The US Coast Guard certification ensures you that the Fintastic was built to a certified standard, water tight compartments, flame retardant fiberglass, collision bulkheads, all safety gear is current, all wiring is in place, all switches and pumps are operable, and there are no fire hazards. In short, the Coast Guard double checks that everything is in perfect working order to ensure your safety.

They also require the crew members to be first aid certified, to execute “man overboard” and fire drills. And finally, every other year the boat is hauled out of the water for a complete hull inspection . We hold our vessel, and our crew, to a higher standard. So should you.
